In grateful appreciation to the City of Huntsville
The Huntsville Madison County Veterans Memorial was officially dedicated on Veterans Day, November 11, 2011. The Memorial’s concept, design and construction were supervised by a volunteer organization, The Veterans Memorial Foundation. The Foundation was chartered by the City of Huntsville, the County of Madison and endorsed by the City of Madison in the year 2002. Donations for construction came from the citizens, organizations, and businesses of Madison County and the Tennessee Valley. The Memorial is located in Huntsville’s Veterans Park (formerly Gateway Park) and is maintained by the City of Huntsville. This Memorial has been erected to honor and pay tribute to all veterans and to pay homage to those community veterans who made the supreme sacrifice for their country. The Memorial pays tribute to all veterans for their call to “Duty”, “Courage”, and “Sacrifice”
